Sleep - Do not underestimate how important sleep is to your skin and your complexion. Try to sleep minimum of eight hours each night to maintain a healthy complexion.
Water - Drinking enough water is absolutely essential to maintaining a healthy, and hopefully blemish-free complexion. Your skin, like the rest of your body needs to be properly hydrated. Drink minimum of 8 glasses of water a day.
Fruits and Vegetables - Veggies such as carrots, squash, and tomatoes are excellent sources of vitamins A and C, calcium, fiber, and carotenoids, all of which offer excellent anti-aging benefits. For a high dose of vitamin C, try oranges, limes, and strawberries.
Avoid Alcohol and Cigarettes - The consumption of alcohol and cigarettes can leave the skin dehydrated, sallow, puffy, and dry. After long periods of alcohol and cigarette use, the skin ages at a more rapid rate, leaving behind wrinkles and age spots.
Exercise Regularly - Regular exercise improves circulation, rids the face and body of excess fat and tones the muscles. According to dermatologists, exercise improves circulation, thereby ridding the body of toxins and more easily allowing for the delivery of nutrients to skin cells.
Wash your face twice a day - Wash more often to prevent oils from getting accumulated and keep face clean. Remember to splash warm water before applying soap as that opens the pores in skin allowing deep penetration, then rinsed off using cold water so that pores are closed.
Avoid heavy makeup - If you have to, use water based products avoiding oil-based product.
